UL connects people to safer, secure and more sustainable products and services. This is also done through design to help consumers and stakeholders better understand the importance of the business. I helped build a better, more modern brand within the company. This success was made part by amazing design team support. Projects I’ve lead and are a part of include: video storyboarding, social media campaigns, web design, experiential, collateral, event, mentorship, environmental, presentation design and I also help support and maintain brand standards to name a few.
Panera is a café and market that offers fresh, delicious fare across the country with many locations. I had the privilege of creating custom artwork, menu boards and collateral to reflect the impeccable interiors and experience of the restaurant.
Cacao Sweets & Treats is an organic, made from scratch bakery with 1 location downtown Grayslake. They make insanely tasty food, provide natural, organic dessert options, and do it with the smallest environmental footprint possible. After being in business for a while, they brought me in to evaluate, strategize, evolve and maintain their brand experience. Keeping with their minimal, vintage/modern aesthetic, I cleaned up their in-store communications and injected personality throughout. This resulted in new menus, packaging, ads, signage, apparel, promotional items and more.
Iron & Ivory provide handmade, eco-friendly products that respect the environment and the people living in it. Small changes make a big difference, and so does the branding, packaging and design implemented here. A small shop with sustainable success and clean graphics, just as the Earth intended.
Blacksmith is passionate about two things—being a successful small business and helping other local small businesses succeed. They sell handmade, unique gifts that are locally sourced, and one of a kind items. I was asked to help brand their new retail shop in Grayslake. Keeping the client's passions in mind, I created an identity system that includes collateral, web, packaging, and apparel design.
Tim Hortons - décor design at it’s most flavorful. While employed with GFX, I had the privilege of working with Tim Hortons. My goal was to achieve successful B2C marketing and experiences to help create brand recognition and customer loyalty. This included doing an entire interior design overhaul from ground up. Here we achieved local relevance and in-store branding through design. Both Leaside, and Granville include custom interiors and artwork specific to that location. From the wallcovering art, to the tin tiles behind the counter, everything was well thought out and executed efficiently.
Pick Up Stix believes in preparing food in an open-style kitchen, allowing you to watch as your meal is cooked before your eyes. This means all of the ingredients are fresh and go straight from the field to your plate. This was the new focus of the brand, and something they needed to get across to the consumer. The imagery and look of the brand didn’t communicate this. So, we sat down at the dinner table and brainstormed what would be the best dish of design to serve up to its patrons. This resulted in all new bright, fresh photography, collateral campaigns, web design and menu board creation.
